Do you remember listening to a radio as a little kid and wondering how the music came through the air and into the radio? Did you ever wonder how images were projected into your TV set so you could watch shows like MASH or Cheers? When I was a little girl, it seemed like some sort of magic was involved until my engineer dad carefully explained to me the mechanics by which various frequencies were captured by these devices.
The human energy system is a similar sort of capturing device. We have within us the ability to tune into all of the frequencies on the "dial," from very high vibrations that connect us with the angelic realms to denser physical energies. We are incredible instruments capable of receiving multiple forms of energy - light frequencies and sound waves that move up and down the scale - and even beyond the scale as we currently know it.
The problem is that not all people's energy systems are calibrated to receive the same frequencies at this point in our evolution. And when two people stand side by side, and one of them has developed finer energy sensitivity and the other person hasn't, what happens? The person who has the finer energy sensitivity is called a "psychic," a "freak," or "insane," depending on the mindset of the people around her.
We still have a tendency to demonize the unknown and to generate superstition around capabilities that can be developed by everyone. Psychic abilities are like soccer. Anyone can learn how to play soccer. Some will excel, some will do okay, and others might find it extremely difficult. Some people might be born with a genius level talent at the sport because they take to it so easily.
The same thing is true about finer energy sensitivity. There are huge numbers of energy sensitives on this planet, and most of them are very unhappy creatures, indeed, because they aren't given a framework through which to honor, understand, and refine their talents.
Another problem is that the vocabulary of energy sensitivity tends to get bound up in religious terms, because people will call anything that is a ball of light an angel, or they'll refer to any higher moments of illumination as being touched by God, etc. And these terms turn a lot of people off since, according to recent studies, at least 30% of Americans identify themselves as being "spiritual but not religious." So many people have become turned off by the improprieties of various churches, priests, and cultish religious leaders that they no longer follow any religion but work at embracing a spiritual point of view on their own terms.
I'm a Virgo, and Virgos love to define and explain things. I'm also the child of an English teacher, and I was taught at an early age to study vocabulary and language. When it comes to mapping out the world of the mystical or the realm of energy awareness, I'm constantly struggling to use terminology that everyone can identify with. And yet, when I am writing about a meditation and talk about "invoking higher energies and filling yourself up with divine love," a phrase that to me is very simple, this can confuse people or send them into a tailspin. So I almost need to backtrack and share with people how I have come to perceive and work with subtle energies and give them specific tools and techniques for experimenting with this in their own lives so that we can be on the same page as I write about more complex stuff.
I'm very aware of the biases of many New Age teachers and the backlash that has sprung up against the New Age in general. So I'm also always trying to distance myself from terms or ideas that get people's hackles up. These days, the metaphysical and spiritual communities (and I also include the holistic healing community in this group) are terribly fragmented, nobody is getting along, and nobody is supporting each other. I find this very sad.
One of the newest things is to say that someone who speaks out on psychic subjects is a government "agent" or CIA plant. I was approached by "former" CIA psychics many years ago who wanted to train me in their methodology and have me work with them. Their company was a clearinghouse for psychics who, if they made it through training, would go on to work for the government in various black ops - completely under the radar of most people. The public has no idea how much psychics are being exploited, utilized, and conscripted by various military and quasi-military intelligence organizations.
And they play really really mean, too. When I turned them down, they got a man who was chief of police in a town in North Jersey to start harassing me on the phone and angrily demand that I meet with these guys "or else." After that, I became terminally ill with sudden heart troubles and nearly died. I fought off everything they sent at me through strengthening my connection with God/Goddess/a Higher Power and surrendering my future to a spiritual Creator. I knew that spiritually my soul would die if I were to agree to "weaponise" my psychic abilities - that's what these government agencies teach people to do. They teach psychics not just to remote view but also to travel in their astral bodies on various missions and even to kill others while in their astral bodies. Psychic hit squads - very real, very scary, and very nasty. They come after me all the time. I mean, every week. Guess they're still pissed that I wouldn't join their little club!
I could never be a part of that stuff. Most people who have survived what I've gone through slink off quietly into the shadows, nurse their wounds, and never go public again about anything metaphysical.
But I know that my life purpose is to support and give information to other budding energy sensitives out there whose abilities can quite possibily change the course this world is on right now, healing the planet, clearing humanity's group mind of the psychic debris of aeons, and manifesting seemingly "miraculous" talents in their own lives. This is what all of us are capable of doing. But the military groups will teach you how to use your talents for evil. I chose to work with the good side of the Force instead of the bad side. And my "mission," if I have one, is to encourage others to do the same. We're an incredibly powerful force if we work together and share our intentions or "power prayers" and reclaim our spiritual sovereignty.
So what's funny - well, not that funny, really - is how I've been through all these deep, dark battles to maintain my spiritual clarity and personal integrity, and yet, when I mention what I do for a living to someone at a cocktail party, I'm still seen as the crazy woman, the liar, or the demon spawn voodoo chick.
The Powers that Be have done a great job marginalizing anybody who is developing their energy sensitivity and have taught people to adopt a hostile tribal stance about the important work that healers are doing everywhere. Meanwhile, if you DO demonstrate real ability, they send the government after you to either co-opt your abilities or to discourage you from ever going public.
I've seen so many bright lights in the holistic healing community go out because of this - bright souls with amazing psychic ability who just wanted to bring love onto the planet and help others. So many people taken out, in one form or another. Many of them dead or financially ruined.
Why shouldn't we be allowed to do our work? Why aren't we encouraged? Why aren't we supported financially? I've been running this website for a year as an ezine, bringing in guest interviews with wonderful authors and creating some 250 pages of written material of my own, all of it geared towards promoting spirituality and higher consciousness, and I've received two donations. Don't get me wrong, I am very grateful for these kind contributions to help support my work. But they didn't even cover the cost of the software I used to set up this site.
Conditioning is so deep in this culture that even when people DO read a website with powerful information on it, they don't support the creator of the website. I don't know why. I'm not the type to go begging for donations, either - they're certainly not mandatory for readers. And I've always planned to move towards my online publishing model. Hopefully, my paid astrology newsletter and my forthcoming books will bring in some income from this site.
But I often wish people could be more supportive. I've been through hell and back to bring you what you see here, and while it is a pleasure bringing this material to you, I often wonder if it is worth continuing. I contributed over 300 pages worth of free material to forums RumorMillNews and SurfingtheApocalypse and about the same amount of free material here this past year. That's two books' worth of info. And they don't bring me any royalties, nor do they bring me any donations. Either there is a severe disconnect going on and people really aren't enjoying any of my stuff, they really don't think it has any value, or they DO value it but aren't willing to support the site in any way. I find both possibilities really sad. I see the site statistics and know how many visitors I have, plus I receive your wonderful emails and questions. So I know somebody is out there.
This has turned into a bit of a rant, so if I could leave you with just one idea, it would be this: support people around you who have taken the tough journey of developing their energy sensitivity and are devoted to learning more about energy wisdom. These people may be artists, performers, writers, teachers, holistic healers, psychics, or just that wonderful and eccentric acquaintance who looks at life in a deeper and more emotionally involved way. All of them are too isolated. All of them are marginalized, told they are no good, lectured about being crazy, or, in my case, treated as the cute and funny but obviously deranged astrologer chick. And we deserve some respect, because we are working hard to chip away at the new frontier of this century......mapping out the realm of human consciousness and energy awareness from as many directions as possible so that all of humanity may - hopefully - one day benefit from our discoveries.
I firmly believe that each of us is a miraculous energy being with a unique, sovereign connection to the world of spirit, the Creator energy, that Cosmic Internet that unites us all. This energy is capable of everything and anything. It's the ultimate form of free energy. It's orgone. It's love. It's creation. Tapping into this and learning how to shape and utilize it is our greatest and most wonderful challenge.
Let's keep at it, shall we? And consider giving a break once in a while to those who are struggling to keep the dream alive. It's a collective dream, one shared by visionaries all over the world, and we all need to support each other.
Thus ends today's rant. Thank you for reading!
