My
new baby boy entered the world on November 30, 2004. Can you
tell me anything about his sign and what's in store for him?
Thanks!

New Mommy
Dear
New Mommy,
First
of all, congratulations on your new arrival!
Let's
see, if your little sweetie was born November 30, his sun
sign is Sagittarius. This makes him naturally spunky, fiery
and highly social. Sagittarians have loads of charm
and charisma. They are the class president type. The team
leader type. The "people person" type.
So,
throughout his life, he'll do best in situations where he
can interact with groups. This is something that may
show in his personality even when he is very, very young.
So if you have to put him in daycare, don't waste energy
feeling bad about it, because in order for him to fully develop
his self-esteem, he'll need to bounce off of lots of different
personalities and energies. That's how he'll "find his way," through
interactions with people. Social variety is great for him.
Whenever he's thrown into a situation where he has to learn
how to get along with diverging types, he'll rise to the occasion.
Sagittarians
are natural "ambassadors," peace-makers, and politicians (in
a good sense!) They're very concerned with the "group picture," seeing
how things interlink and how different factions are interdependent.
So they're gifted at strategizing, role-playing, and psychology.
Sags
are also adventurous and self-reliant. Often, it's important
for them to make a "mistake" and then figure out how to fix
it themselves, because that's how they learn. They don't deal
well with being overly protected or coddled. They like to
roll up their sleeves and do things on their own, without
tons of supervision. (Yes, I realize that's not necessarily
what a mom wants to hear! But it's all good, really!)
The
main difference between a Sagittarian youngster and kids of
other sun signs is his capacity for being self-taught. He
doesn't always learn in the same way that other students learn.
He sort of absorbs things through osmosis and parses them
through for himself, making sense of the data in his own unique
way. His learning pace may tend to either be a lot faster
or considerably slower than his fellow schoolmates, because
the Sagittarian brain is wired in a special manner. If he
hasn't fully studied something and "gotten it into his
pores," it won't make sense to him. So sometimes young
Sagittarians don't excel at abstract thinking. They tend to
comprehend things best when they can touch and feel their
way through the subject that they are studying.
The
key with your young one may be to make sure that he is given
demonstrations of anything you wish to teach him. Show him
how to do something, don't tell, and he will pick up on things
very rapidly. He'll be impatient about the "theory" of
whatever you're showing him, preferring to focus on technique.
His focus will be "How do I do this, Mommy?" instead
of "What's the reason for doing this, Mommy?"
As
your Sagittarian grows, he'll learn a tremendous amount by
following other people's lead. When it comes to teaching him
the difference between "right and wrong," show him
examples from your own life. "See how Mommy recycles
the plastic bottles, honey? This is a GOOD thing to do." "See
how Mommy chews her food slowly? This is the right thing to
do to keep a healthy tummy." He's a natural mimic and
will imitate you right away. He may not fully understand the
WHY of a situation, but he's good at the HOW.
Sagittarian
men are especially youthful even when they reach an advanced
age, so expect your honey to keep his boyish spark throughout
his life. Overall, Sagittarian kids are a lot of fun, with
their insatiable curiosity and adventurous spirit.
Many
congratulations on having such a delightful one in your life!
