New Moon Earth Sign Energies Strong

There's a new moon in the sign of Virgo on Saturday, September 3rd. It happens at 2:45 pm Eastern Daylight Time here in the U.S.

You've heard me talk about the energies of the new moon times before. The three days before and after a new moon are like a mini "New Year," a time for fresh starts and fresh projects.

This new moon occurs in practical Earth sign Virgo. The sun is already in Virgo now, and Mercury joins the sun in Virgo on Sunday the 4th. So there's a big pile-up of Virgo action going on.

Virgo is a discerning, linear, logical sign. Virgos prefer their lives and their homes to be in order, neat and tidy. (This doesn't mean that they actually ARE neat and tidy, though -- myself being a case in point. But we APPRECIATE neatness and tidiness and hold that up as a goal - even if we don't reach it very often.)

Applied to your life, these Virgo energies at the new moon may inspire you to take a close look at any parts of your life which are out of order, untidy, or in a mess.

The new moon is a great time to push ahead and get focused on making positive shifts to bring your life into order. Whether it's a relationship that needs some tweaking, a personal goal that you need to adjust, or a professional matter that needs to be addressed, this is the perfect period to "do your homework."

You'll find that a little effort goes a long way. So, although it may SEEM like an impossible thing to make these changes, once you actually get moving, it will go relatively quickly and easy. This is a great period to focus on self-improvement. You'll find yourself psyched as you make positive changes, and the planetary energies will support you as you make major shifts.

This is also a good time to write yourself a new moon abundance check, if you're open to the idea of a cool and simple ritual that works on both a practical level and a metaphysical level.
