How Can You Heal Broken Chakras? - 3/16/06

I received a letter this week from someone who believes that they have several broken or cracked chakras. I was asked what people can do when they are experiencing broken or damaged chakras. I wanted to share some of my recommendations here, since many people have written to me about this condition.

My response:

Broken or cracked chakras are very common....they can happen whenever we go through severe trauma, whether it's emotional or physical. And it can happen in past lives and cause problems (even deformities or health conditions) in the current life.

The most common one I've seen is "heartbreak."  Sorrow and anger accompanying a romantic breakup, or any personal tragedy, usually leaves their mark on the heart.  And cracks or fissures are common.  There's even some medical evidence to support this - see this short article:

Realize that you can regenerate and heal these chakras.  Use any healing method you feel drawn to, either work you do on yourself through meditation or applying healing energy or receive healings from practitioners.  It will take a little while for them to regenerate, but it will happen. Give yourself time. It can take one to two years for complete regeneration for someone suffering from severe damage.  When I say severe damage, I'm talking about someone who for instance is a combat veteran, an abuse survivor, or an abductee who has experienced trauma at the hands of various negative entities. If your own trauma has been less severe than this, then it won't take you as long.

Some of the most powerful methods that have worked for me include soul retrieval, performed by a shamanic practitioner. Michael Harner of shamanism.org has trained healers all over the world to do this; there are also books about this. You can also invoke to have Spirit/the angels/your guides do soul retrieval for you.  Basically it's all about retrieving fragments of your energy that have been cut off from you, that you've lost through past trauma, and reintegrating them back into your body and energy field and chakras.

Another form of healing I work with is pranic healing, taught by Master Choa Kok Sui. Sui is a bit standoffish and not a fluffy bunny guy, but his students who are trained under him, all of them powerful healers themselves, do outstanding work and are amazing people. I studied with Glenn Mendoza in northern New Jersey, and there are many other pranic healing teachers and practitioners across the world. They work with color therapy. They beam energy of a particular color into your energy field and chakras for healing. They also sweep OUT debris, negative entities and thoughtforms, which is a key component to healing damaged chakras. I like this technique much better than Reiki, which tends to involve the use of esoteric symbols being laid into a person's energy field, because many people are incompatible with the symbols used in Reiki. (Myself included: I'm allergic!)

You can read more about pranic healing online at http://www.pranichealing.com. Choa also has many books available. Courses are being offered all the time and just taking the basic pranic healing class (two days of workshops) will give you major tools for self-healing. The nice thing about pranic healing is that you don't even have to be particularly energy sensitive or even "believe" in the techniques for them to work. It's best to take at least one worshop so you can learn the hand movements, because it's hard to learn these from the books.

Third, I highly recommend a book called Remarkable Healings by Dr. Shakuntala Modi. She talks about spirit release therapy, soul retrieval, and how to clear out your body and energy field of attachments. Her work is powerful and life-changing. She also includes invocations for doing soul retrieval on yourself, and they work!

Here's an article I wrote about her work: http://www.lipstickmystic.com/articles/articles040705.html

The more you can learn healing techniques for yourself and apply them, the better. We are exposed to so many negative situations and people in life that we all need a certain supply of tools in our psychic toolbox to keep us well.

I wish you the very best with your healing.
