Dear
Lipstick Mystic,
I
want to tell you about two wonderful experiences I had
in the past. And I also have a question about them
The first one was a few years ago. I was cleaning the lawn of fallen
leaves. At a particular moment I stopped cleaning and I realized that
I was one with the Universe. There were no borders between me and everything
else outside of me. There was no "me." I was the Universe and
the Universe was me.
It
was wonderful, and I was in a total calmness. But then
I started thinking about what was happening, and suddenly
it faded away. Bloody thinking came to spoil the day!
The second experience was last summer. I was just on my way to post a
letter. At a moment I started to feel very joyful and playful. I felt
a tremendous love for myself and everything else outside of me coming
in. I started dancing, and I smiled at everybody passing by. Those people
- even the most stressed ones - had a joyful moment and started smiling
too. I felt unconditional love for everything you can think of. Also
came in the Oneness experience, feeling One with everything.
You
can say it was like the first experience but this time
filled with a tremendous lot of love. I also could use
my thinking. But again, eventually it faded away
My question is how do you get in these states of mind, because it just
happened? I was not doing meditation or heavy spiritual stuff at the
moment, I just was doing what I was doing. And I can tell you, sometimes
it can be very frustrating knowing it is possible, knowing it should
be like that
And
I wish everybody has experiences like this......and
they don't fade
away. It will make the world a better place to live....for sure!
What can I do to develop contact with all there is?
-- Love Pjotr from the Netherlands
Dear
Pjotr,
What
a wonderful series of experiences you had! Thanks very
much for sharing them with me and my readers.
What
you are describing is a "peak experience," a
heightened moment of sense perception in which the ego
temporarily dissolved, and you no longer felt a barrier
between you and everyone else. You were "one" with
creation.
This
experience of having all of that joy flood through you
is one that mystics are always seeking. Congratulations
on achieving it without really trying! This should show
everyone that you don't have to quit your job, move
to a mountain-top, and meditate for twenty years in
order to have great moments like this where you are
tapping into the Divine.
Sometimes,
these experiences find us when we least expect them,
and this colors such moments with a unique feeling of "grace" or
blessing. How wonderful it is to receive them!
I've
found over the years, both in my own life and in other
people's lives, that such times of ecstasy and connection
with God/Goddess/Great Spirit frequently come in answer
to our ongoing prayers. For instance, if you regularly
pray and ask to receive moments of bliss, times of divine
inspiration, they will eventually happen. Sometimes,
they can flood into your consciousness when you are
taking out the trash or doing something really "mundane" in
your regular life. This can be fun, because it's like
stumbling onto a treasure when you least expect it.
When
the hand of the Divine gently reaches out to touch you,
it's truly an awesome and marvelous experience, isn't
it? And I agree with you - if more people could experience
this even ONCE in their lives, world peace would be
immediate. We would suddenly remember the spiritual
realm and the world of the divine and realize that we
are all a part of God's magnificent creation, every
one of us, without exclusion! And so are the trees,
the animals, the very Earth herself. Everything is connected.
Everything is linked with the same energy. We are all
united by a Cosmic Internet, a neverending quantum field
of love.
For
people who are seeking to experience those moments of
bliss and interconnection with creation, I can recommend
one thing that might be very helpful. You may wish to
try this yourself. Start chatting with the joy angels!
The
joy angels are a special group of angels who are often
sent to people who are aching and suffering to keep
their hearts open and to prevent them from shutting
down spiritually. When you're living in a war zone or
experiencing abuse or misery of any kind, it can be
so tempting to shut down your heart. When you feel really
beaten down and sad, your heart goes through extreme
trauma, and that's when it's more important than ever
to remember the world of Spirit and to seek reconnection
to the world of the Divine, so you don't descend into
darkness. When you're suffering, if you can reach out
to God/Goddess/Great Spirit and ask for the joy angels
to help you, you'll feel them arrive on shafts of golden
light, ready to lift your spirits.
But
the neat thing is that you don't have to be suffering
to connect with the joy angels. You can pray for their
inspiration and ask for their companionship at ANY time.
And it sounds like during each of the two experiences
you describe in your letter that you were tapping into
the joy angels and their wonderful, happy energy.
So,
to recreate these experiences, I would recommend giving
thanks to the joy angels in your prayers and asking
that they be around you more, reminding you of those
incredible vibrations of love, surrounding you with
their incredible lightness of being. People experience
the joy angels differently. I used to experience them
as these strong waves of bliss that just came over me
when I least expected them, and they were extremely
common for me throughout my childhood and early teens.
I'd be having dinner with my parents, playing the piano
at home, or playing outside with my friends, and suddenly
I'd feel this incredible rush of joy and love. I felt
so thankful for everything in my life at those times.
They were truly moments of "grace," when I
felt connected with everything and everyone.
As
I grew older, these moments became more rare, but your
letter is an excellent reminder that I should start
chatting with the joy angels again and to thank them
for their many blessings.
All
of the frequencies in the angelic kingdom can become
more accessible to us if we learn to focus on them.
I tend to work a lot with the angels of healing and
the angels of creative inspiration, who are also very
lovely. But this is a great reminder for me to remember
the joy angels in my prayers, too. Thank you!
Joy
angels also carry a lot of love and creativity as part
of their vibration, so there can be some overlap between
various types of angels. But I'd say give thanks to
the joy angels for having blessed you with those past
peak experiences, and ask for their help in creating
more of those moments for you and those around you in
the future. Then report back here! I'm eager to learn
more about what you experience, and I'm sure my readers
would like to know, too.
The
wonderful thing about the joy angels is that they flood
you with so much love and bliss that you immediately
start to radiate that energy outwards and share it with
everyone in your environment. And that's when you can
play the role of the healing superhero, silently zapping
people with frequencies of divine light and spreading
sunshine wherever you go. Some people do this naturally.
The rest of us simply need to be more conscious that
we have this capability. Each one of us can tap into
this radiant field on a more regular basis, learning
to spread this energy throughout out homes, neighborhoods,
and throughout our entire world.
I
truly believe that this is the wave of the future, this
energy of divine bliss and love. And I also sense that
this energy is becoming more and more available to all
who would care to participate in it. All we need do
is to get out our surfboards and start riding those
cosmic waves.
So
get chatting with the joy angels and report back on
your adventures!
Many thanks again for your letter,
Lipstick
