Dear
Lipstick Mystic,
I've
really enjoyed reading your articles. You seem to have
a lot of experience and wisdom. I have a question you
may be able to help me with. I appreciate any input
you might care to offer.
If
someone wants to learn how to obtain higher wisdom for
themselves, how can they do this? What do you recommend
to those of us whom are not able to access (read) our
own energy patterns and chakras? From your experience,
what is the most direct route to developing this ability?
Thanks again, and keep up the informative posts.

Hi
M.,
The
wisdom you're trying to access is something that can
be called the Higher Self or God/Goddess/Great Spirit,
the Mind of God, the Quantum Self, or the Divine Self.
There are many words that can be used to describe this
omnipotent knowledge base of higher understanding. We're
all meant to be able to do this for ourselves. Unfortunately,
we're not taught how to do this. So seekers can end
up becoming dependent on a guru, a therapist, or a psychic
advisor to give them their spiritual "fix." It's
great that you're focused on learning to do this yourself.
Getting
spiritually "online" will help you to have
a much more harmonious life. It's okay to turn to a
psychic, healer, or a spiritual teacher to help you
to get started. We all need some help in the beginning.
But
people eventually need to learn how to access the wisdom
of their heart on their own. That's really what you're
doing - connecting with the divine intelligence of the
heart. You're already familiar with the way your heart
views things. That's the part of you that measures choices
by how good they feel - does this choice enhance my
life or destroy my life? Does this relationship spread
love and joy, or does it pull me down into pain and
darkness? That sort of thing.
If
you are already a spiritual seeker (which you obviously
are - just like me. I'm the perennial seeker!).....you'll
find your own way of obtaining truth.
Probably
the most powerful meditations I've experienced are ones
in which you sit and open up both your heart chakra
and your crown chakra (at the top of the head.) Sometimes,
it's helpful to use a visualization to connect with
these energy centers.
Simple
Rose Meditation
The
very first chakra meditation I used many years ago was
one in which I imagined a pink rose at my heart chakra
and saw the petals unfurl and open up, all the while
setting the intention for my heart to be opened. Then
I'd imagine a pearly white rose sitting at the top of
my head, imagining that rose gradually opening up, releasing
the energy of my crown center. Then I'd visualize them
both aligning with each other, so the energy streamed
from my heart up to my head and out my crown and upwards
to my Higher Self. Then I'd focus on bringing the wisdom,
love, and strength of my Higher Self down into my crown
and heart centers. Sometimes I'd picture this as white
light, but you can also use gold, solar orange, divine
purple, or any color that represents power and purity
to you.
Try
the rose meditation and see if it's easy for you. It's
pretty simple to do, and the energy involved is very
gentle and loving.
You
can repeat this visualization any time you want to connect
with those energy centers, training yourself to open
up to higher wisdom "on cue." As you get good
at this, you'll find some amazing things happening.
You might start to develop clairvoyance, clairaudience,
clairsentience or a combination of these. You may sprout
healing abilities. You might experience a moment of
communication with an angel or spiritual guide. Many
things will unfold once you start to open up. Everybody's
path is different.
If
you keep focusing on your heart and your crown centers,
you'll learn a great deal on your own. Contrary to many
religious and mystical traditions, some of which have
become massively distorted over time, nobody possesses
the ultimate pipeline to Divine Wisdom. So it's important
to set up your own, personal passageway to higher understanding.
Experiment with different prayers, meditations, invocations,
affirmations, rituals, and creative play while keeping
your heart and your crown centers open.
Have
fun, trust what comes to you, and report back on your
adventures! You're learning to tap into the power of
the Cosmic Internet, and life is going to become lighter
and more exciting.
Best
to you,
---Lipstick
